  • Learning Objectives:
    • Allow us to identify the purpose of the lesson. They are the key concepts we want students to be comfortable with, or at least be exposed to by the end of the semester.
  • Definitions
    • This is the accepted definition for our course at UNL.
    • We want to make sure that students in this course have a shared understanding of the key concepts in this course.
  • Suggested Sequencing
    • Each lesson guide has a suggested sequence for introducing the key concepts of that lesson.
  • Connections to other material in the course
    • The lesson guides also include information about how concepts connect to one another. These connections should be made visible to your students.
  • Examples
    • Make sure to do similar examples to the ones given in the lesson guide. These have been chosen to emphasize key concepts.

    • Not published, speaking to other instructors
    • Learn from others' reflection

    • You are encouraged to edit the lesson plans, and provide commentary.
    • You are also encouraged to come revise the lesson plan to include any student misconceptions that arose as you enacted the lesson. (devleop PCK, "nullify" inexperience, provide experiential knowledge)
